FUNDACIÓN
CAMBIO DEMOCRÁTICO (FCD) is a non-governmental
and non-profit organization. Our vision is to
promote changes into a more peaceful and participative
society.
Mission
To impulse communities' abilities through
consensus building collaborative processes,
for prevention and transformation of public
disputes, promoting human development.
We work in different areas such as: environmental,
social, youth and local development.
Established in 1998,
FCD is the first Latin-American organization
member of the network, PARTNERS FOR DEMOCRATIC
CHANGE INTERNATIONAL (PDCI), with members in
Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Georgia, Slovakia,
Hungary, Kosova, Lithuania, Poland, Romania
and United States of America. PDCI is an alliance
of local and independent organizations, devoted
to the globally promotion of a change of culture
for conflict management.

facilitation, collaborative planning) that involve
citizen and multiple interest groups participation
in the decision making process regarding public
issues.
Training
diverse stakeholders (government, NGOs, private
sector) in communication, consensus-building and
conflict resolution and transformation abilities. |

Collaborative
processes:
Collaborative process
is a methodology that brings together diverse stakeholders
in a facilitated process to build consensus around
concrete issues. The process supports collaboration
among NGOs, government and business sectors, and
enhances citizen participation and empowerment towards
tangible outcomes for the community. Values underlying
on these processes are:

FCD promotes citizen participation in public issues,
offering tools for best practices to organizations
focused in environment, local development, civic
education, human rights, health, among other issues.

FCD works with local, provincial and national
governments to assist them in the creation of
channels of dialog among citizen, NGOs and private
sector.
Private sector
FCD supports the introduction of transparent practices
in business through advisory and trainings aimed
to develop participative consensus building processes
on issues of public interest.
Academic sector
FCD develops curricula on Conflict Resolution
and Transformation for universities and educational
institutions.
Agencies
of international cooperation
FCD offers trainings in Conflict Management and
Resolution to Agencies of International Cooperation
aimed to improve the implementation of their programs.
